Thane girl stabbed by jilted lover dies in the hospital

A Thane based college going girl was stabbed to death by her jilted lover on broad daylight on a busy road of Mumbai on Saturday. Victim was rushed to hospital but during treatment she succumbed to death.

The incident took place on Saturday around 11 am near RTO road in Thane. The police have identified the victim Prachi Zhade (22), a resident of Kishore Parisar in Thane and a student of second year of college.

Prachi was rushed to a private hospital for the treatment and undergoing a treatment at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Unfortunately, after struggle for life for four hours she scummed to her injuries. By 4 pm, she was produced death by doctor.

She was student of Thane based commerce college and a student of second year.

According to police, “As a part of her daily chores, she left her home for her office. She was riding her bike when the accused came and started stabbing her with a knife. Some of the people tried to trace him, but they were unable to do so. They said that since he had a knife with him they were scared to take an action initially later she struggle and had a scuffle and he stabbed her.

In this regard, the police have arrested 25-year-old Aakash Pawar a residnet of Bhiwandi. Later it was found that Aakash and Prachi knew each other for three years and were friends. But due to some personal reasons as he use to torture her and also physically abuse, threaten, they parted ways. Immediate bases, Aakash is in police custody.

Before this heart-wrenching incident, Thane was in news because of the auto driver’s misbehavior with women. This issue was very fresh not yet looked upon and this murder took place. It really raises a question on Thane’s safety.
