Pune Crime News | Wanawadi police arrest two men from Parbhani district for stealing belongings of woman passenger

Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News | The Wanawadi police have arrested two men from Gangakhed in Parbhani district for stealing belongings of women passengers travelling by a private bus. Gold ornaments and six mobile handsets worth ₹3.76 lakh have been seized from them. Some more crimes are expected to come to light after their questioning. ( Pune Crime News)

The accused have been identified as Shiva Raju Shinde (30), a resident of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar and K Teja K Sagar alias Gopi alias Surya Shinde (20), a resident of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. A woman had lodged a complaint at the Wanawadi police station. On April 2, the complainant was travelling by a private bus from latur to Pune. Early in the morning the next day, she got down in the Wanawadi area opposite Croma mall. When she checked her bag, she found that her gold ornaments of 10 tolas were missing.

She lodged a complaint at the Wanawadi police station. After checking CCTV footage and carrying out a technical probe, the police arrested the accused from Gangakhed in Parbhani district. Gold ornaments weighing 86 gm and worth ₹3.64 lakh, six mobile handsets, mini weighing scale and other documents totally worth ₹3.76 lakh were seized from them.

Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ranjan Kumar, DCP Vikrant Patil, ACP Pornima Taware guided a team of officials including Sr PI Bhausaheb Patare, PI (crime) Sandip Shivle, PSI Santosh Sonvane, PSI Ajay Bhosale, policemen Vinod Bhandalkar, Atul Gaikwad, Amjad Pathan, Santosh Naik, Mahesh Gadhve, Sandip Salve, Vishnu Sutar, Rahul Gosavi, Nilkanth Rathod, Amol Gaikwad, Vitthal Chormale and Sonam Bhagat.
