Spurned lover assaults minor girl in Fursungi

Pune : NpNews24 Online  –  Pune Crime | A criminal barged into a minor girl’s home and injured her with a sickle for refusing his love proposal. However, the girl narrowly escaped as she dodged the blows. The incident took place at around 7.15 pm at Fursungi on Tuesday. In this case, the police have booked the criminal. (Pune Crime)

The 17-year-old victim girl has lodged a complaint at the Hadapsar Police Station. The police have booked Ashish Maruti Dhanake (24) from Fursungi under sections 307, 450, 623, 354, 354D, 506 of the IPC, POCSO Act, Maharashtra Police Act, Arm Act. The accused is a criminal on the police record.

According to the police, the accused had been stalking the complainant since October 2022. Accused threatened to kill the complainant girl as she refused his love proposal. The girl told the accused’s wife about this. Being angry over this, the accused barged into the complainant’s home on Tuesday night and attacked her with a sickle. However, she escaped narrowly as she missed sickle’s stab.

It has been mentioned in the complaint that the accused beat up the friend of the complainant.

The police are conducting further investigation.
