Rs 70-lakh fraud on the pretext of good returns through auction

Pune :  NpNews24 Online  –  Pune Crime | Three persons have been defrauded of Rs 67.5 lakh on the pretext of giving good returns from an auction. (Pune Crime)

 

In this case, Prakash Prajapati (29) from Kondhwa has lodged a complaint at the Samarth Police Station. Accordingly, the police have registered a case against Shankar Laxman Gaikwad from Rasta Peth. The incident happened from 2020 till now. (Pune Crime)

 

According to the police, Shankar Gaikwad asked the complainant to join the auction by promising him good returns. He took Rs 11.54 lakh from the complainant through online and in cash. No receipt was given. Returns were not paid. Also, Gaikwad took Rs 14.30 lakh as loan from the complainant. Thus a total of Rs. 32 lakh were bungled without giving any returns.

 

Similarly, Rahul Vanarase and Asharani Nayakwadi were cheated of Rs 25.50 lakh and Rs 10 lakh respectively.
