Pune: Woman Receives Lewd Texts, Threats Over Loan Repayment Demand in Kondhwa

Pune: A 27-year-old woman received an obscene text message demanding sexual pleasure when she asked the person for repayment of the loan amount. Furthermore, the accused’s friend also threatened to harass her daughter if she complained about it to the police. This appalling incident took place in Kondhwa between 2020 and February 10, 2024.

In this regard, a victim woman registered a complaint against the accused, Suresh Nigunda Naik, an original resident of Karnataka, and his friend, Siddharth Ashok Shinde, a resident of Krishna Nagar, Mohamadwadi Road, Hadapsar, at Kondhwa Police Station on Wednesday. Accordingly, police booked the two accused under IPC 354, 354 (a)(d), 504, 506, and 34 and started an investigation into the case.

The plaintiff and the accused, Suresh Naik, are familiar to each other. Due to some financial constraints on Naik, the plaintiff gave him 20 lakh, 60 thousand rupees from time to time. Out of this, the accused has returned 16 lakh, 40 thousand rupees.

However, when the accused reminded him about the repayment of the remaining amount, the accused shockingly demanded sexual pleasure from the accused in a personal chat. To the plaintiff’s surprise, after a few days, the accused’s friend, Siddharth Shinde, called her and threatened her against asking for money from Naik.

“Do not ask for money from him (Naik). We know where your daughter goes for schooling. If you report to the police about this, we will not let you and your daughter live peacefully,” said Shinde on the phone. After this, the accused filed a formal complaint about this incident at Kondhwa Police Station. Kondhwa police are conducting further investigations.
