Pune to get water supply everyday

NPnews24 Online Pune: As the water storage of Pune city has reached 50 per cent due to heavy rains, now, the city will receive water daily. The civic administration has said that the decision will be announced after discussions with the district guardian minister.

The water supply was stopped once a week earlier to save water due to water scarcity and maintenance. There was water crisis in the city for last few months. Now, due to heavy and continuous rains in last few day, the water storage in the city has increased to 50 per cent.

Hence, the PMC has decided to restart water supply for all seven days of the week.  Therefore, Puneites will get one time water for the next nine months.

Pune Municipal Corporation’s (PMC) Water Supply Department has started planning to give equal water supply to all the areas of the city once the water level in the dam increases due to more rain in the next few days. Therefore, Puneites will get water for seven days now.

“The decision will be announced within ten days after discussions with the guardian minister in this regard, ” the civic administration said.
