Pune-Solapur Highway Accident | Road Safety Concerns Grow as Accidents Mount on Pune-Solapur Highway

Pune: Pune-Solapur Highway Accident | The occurrence of road accidents has witnessed an escalation on the Pune-Solapur highway in recent days, with a notable rise in the number of victims. In a distressing incident within the Kunjirwadi Gram Panchayat limits along the same highway, a tanker collided with a two-wheeler from behind, tragically resulting in the instantaneous death of a woman.

Based on received information, a 65-year-old man named Rajaram Bappu Rajwade from Javjibuwachiwadi in Daund taluka was struck by a two-wheeler while crossing the Pune-Solapur highway. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries during the course of treatment. The accident occurred at approximately 7:30 pm on Wednesday evening, leaving the motorcycle rider severely wounded. The injured party involved in the accident is identified as Masjid Sheikh, who is currently receiving medical care at Uruli Kanchan hospital.

On Wednesday evening around 7:30 pm, Masjid Sheikh was traveling from Pune Solapur Highway to Baramati when the unfortunate incident took place. Simultaneously, Rajaram Rajwade was crossing the road when the two-wheeler ridden by Masjid Sheikh lost control and collided forcefully with Rajwade. Consequently, Rajwade fell to the road, and Sheikh, along with the bike, also toppled over. Swift action was taken by Ajit Kamble, an ambulance driver from Life Care at Uruli Kanchan, and Sidhu Chavan, the owner of Life Care Ambulance, who promptly transported the injured individuals to Ganaraj Hospital in Uruli Kanchan. Tragically, Rajaram Rajwade passed away during treatment on Thursday morning, while the injured rider, Masjid Sheikh, has been transferred to Baramati for further medical attention.
