Pune Police | Police detain minor after a chase for vandalising shop
PUNE : Pune Police | Two youths vandalised a sweet mart on Wednesday at 6.45 pm by using an axe. The police chased the accused who were running away on a motorcycle. After travelling for six kilometres, their motorcycle slipped and the accused fell. A minor boy has been apprehended and two others are absconding.
According to the Hadapsar police, three youths went to Chaitanya Sweet and Centre and vandalised the shop by breaking glass cupboards and refrigerator by using an axe. When policeman Vijaykumar Dhakne came to Shewalewadi Chowk, the incident was happening. He informed the police station about the incident. Later, he chased the accused on a motorcycle. After travelling for about six km, their bike slipped and the accused fell and took shelter in a sugarcane field.
A police team arrived to help Dhakne and they apprehended a 17-year-old boy and seized the motorcycle used by the accused. The second accused, Gourav Santosh Adsul (19), a resident of Shewalewadi and a minor are absconding and the police are searching for them.
