Yerawada Jail | Four mobiles found again in Yerawada Jail
PUNE: Yerawada Jail | The administration of the Yerawada Jail had started the scheme of smart card mobile after incidents of illegal use of mobiles by prisoners came to light. However, with the finding of four mobiles even after the scheme was started, has proved that the security system in the jail is ineffective.
Prison Officer Veeru Khalbute has lodged a complaint at the Yerawada police station. Four mobiles had been hidden in Madi Gate and internal walls of the Yerawada Jail. The entrance is located at the backside of Yerawada Jail. The staff quarters are located opposite the entrance. The press of the jail is located nearby. On Tuesday, the guards were on duty in the prison. Four mobiles were found in a corner of a wall near the press. SIM cards were found in three mobiles. The Yerawada police are carrying out a probe and the jail administration has taken a serious view of the matter.
