Shirur : Pune Police News | The newly appointed Police Inspector, Sanjay Jagtap, has wasted no time in making his presence felt at the Shirur Police Station. With his dedicated efforts and relentless patrolling, he has instilled a sense of relief among the business community and citizens of Shirur city.

 

Inspector Jagtap has been diligently patrolling the streets, often starting his day at 8 am after an entire night of active duty. Alongside the police personnel, he conducts route marches and foot patrols at crucial locations throughout the city. His proactive approach has proven effective in maintaining law and order.

 

In a recent daring operation at Takli Haji and Kawathe Yemai in the island area, Inspector Jagtap successfully destroyed a substantial amount of illegal liquor stock that was being produced in village hand furnaces. The estimated value of the confiscated liquor runs into lakhs of rupees. This action serves as a significant blow to the illicit liquor trade in the region.

 

Furthermore, Inspector Jagtap has turned his attention towards the issue of reckless driving in Shirur city. Taking personal charge, he has taken action against numerous violators on CT Bora College Road. Roadromeos, triple seat riders, individuals driving without licenses, vehicles without number plates, and those with black filming on their four-wheelers have all faced penal action.

 

During the operation, Inspector Jagtap and his team encountered instances where underage children were found behind the wheel. In such cases, the parents were called and educated about the dangers of allowing their children to drive. This approach not only ensures safety but also aims to create awareness among parents regarding their responsibilities.

 

On Monday (17th) morning, Police Inspector Sanjay Jagtap himself was staying on College Road. He was accompanied by Police Sub-Inspector Eknath Patil, Assistant Sub-Inspector Anil Chavan, Ganesh Deshmane, Police Constable Nitin Sudrik, Police Naik Rajendra Waghmode, Police amaldar Rajendra Gopale, Santosh Salunkhe, Shekhar Zadbuke, Arjun Bhal Singh, Praveen Pithale, Nitesh Thorat, Lady Police Naik Bhagyashree Jadhav. Along with all the employees, Police Inspector Jagtap has taken action against many unruly drivers.

 

In total, 75 traffic violators were apprehended during this operation, resulting in the collection of fines amounting to ₹83,000. This substantial sum serves as a testament to the determined efforts of Inspector Jagtap and his team to enforce traffic regulations and ensure road safety.
