Pune Police News | Khandala police training centre gets Best Police Training Centre award; DCP Shanshikant Borate honoured

Pune : Pune Police News | The Police Training Centre, Khadala was honoured with the Union Home Minister’s ‘Best Police Training Institute’ award. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis presented it to the centre. The then principle of the centre and DCP (Zone 4) Shashikant Borate received the award.

 

The Union Home Minister Trophy for Best Police Training Institution 2020-21 for the Western Region comprising Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana and Div Daman was presented.

 

State DGP Rajnish Seth, CP Retesh Kumaarr and senior police officers from the state and dignitaries were present. The function took place at the State Police Headquarters in Mumbai. Various academic courses, training modules, infrastructure facilities and outstanding initiatives were conducted at the Khandala Police Training Centre for non-gazetted officers in 2021-22. This included facilities at the hostel, a memorial library, inspirational conference room, vermiculture project, sanitary napkin vending machines for female trainees, gymnasium, study room, entertainment, etc.

 

 

“The Police Training Centre, Khandala has got the Union Home Minister Best Police Training Medal and the DGP Ideal Trainer Award. However, it is the first training centre in Maharashtra to get the Best Police Training Centre award. We received special guidance from Addl DGP Sanjay Kumar and Special DIG Ravindra Sengaonkar.
