Pune Crime News | Fake IAS officer in police net, imposes as a secretary from PMO
Pune : Pune Crime News | A man who identified himself as a secretary from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) turned out to be an imposter during a police investigation. He was dealing with people by telling them that he was an IAS officer and worked in the PMO in Delhi.
The Pune Police Crime Branch Unit 1 arrested Vasudev Nivrutti Taide (54), a resident of Talegaon Dabhade. According to the police, the Borderless World organised a programme in the morning on May 29 in Aundh. An ambulance was to be dedicated to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Dignitaries such as Viren Shah, Suhans Kadam, PK Gupta and other trustees and members were present.
One of the guests present at the function identified himself as Dr Vinay Deo. He said that he was an IAS officer on duty as the secretary at the PMO. He was on a secret mission. The office-bearers sought some details from him and got suspicious about his claims.
They alerted the Pune Police Crime Branch officials. The police tracked him and nabbed him from his house in Talegaon Dabhade. On sustained interrogation, he spilled the beans.
