Pune PMC Property Tax | Property owners to get 5-10% rebate on general tax; PMC announces lottery scheme
Pune : Pune PMC Property Tax | Property owners paying the current year’s property bill, along with the pending dues, will get 5-10 pc concession in the general tax. The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has appealed to citizens to pay their property tax on or before July 31.
All property owners within the jurisdiction of the PMC have been issued the property bills for the year 2023-24. The civic body has also announced a lottery scheme for residential, non-residential and open plot owners. It is applicable between May 15 and July 31. Prizes amounting up to Rs 1 crore will be given to the winners of the lottery. The 45 prizes include five cars, 15 e-bikes, 15 mobile phones, 10 laptops, etc. There is no need to fill up any form for this. The only condition is to pay the entire property tax.
400 properties sealed in a month
The civic body’s property tax department has started taking action against non-residential property tax defaulters from May 1. Their properties are being sealed. Over 400 such assets have been sealed. The action would continue against such defaulters, said Deputy Municipal Commissioner Ajit Deshmukh.
