Pune News | Ganeshotsav will bring peace and prosperity to Kashmir, says Punit Balan

Seven revered Ganesh mandals come together and hand over Ganesh idol which will be installed at Ganpatyar temple in Srinagar

Pune : NpNews24 Online  –  Pune News | Punit Balan, the Trustee of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust and Festive Head, said, “To facilitate the celebration of Ganeshotsav in the ‘Ganpatyar Trust’ of Kashmir, seven mandals in Pune have come together and organised a programme to hand over an idol of Lord Ganesh. This year, the Ganesh festival will be celebrated in Kashmir for one and a half days. Due to this festival, there will be peace and prosperity in Kashmir.” (Pune News)

Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust, which is the first public Ganesh mandal in the country, and six Ganesh mandals decided to come together and celebrate Ganesh festival publicly in Kashmir. Accordingly, a replica of the Kasba Ganpati public mandal, was handed over to Sandip Kaul and Shishant Chako of Ganpatyar temple located in Srinagar. This year, the Ganesh festival will be celebrated for one and a half days in Kashmir. Kasba Ganesh Mandal, Tambdi Jogeshwari Ganpati Mandal, Guruji Talim Ganpati Mandal, Tulshibaug Ganpati Mandal, Kesariwada Ganpati, Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Mandal and Akhil Mandai Mandal took the lead in this initiative. As a part of this initiative, office-bearers of the mandals came together and donated an idol for Kashmir. The programme was held at the Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust in a cheerful atmosphere. Before the programme, there was a performance by the Abhedya dhol tasha troupe.

Punit Balan, the Trustee of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust and Festive Head, President of the Trust Sanjeev Javle, President of Kasba Ganpati Mandal Shrikant Shete, Tambdi Jogeshwari Mandal President Prasad Kulkarni, President of Guruji Talim Mandal Pravin Pardeshi, Treasurer of Tulshibaug Public Ganesh Mandal Nitin Pandit, Representative of Kesariwada Ganpati Anil Sakpal, Akhil Mandai Mandal President Anna Thorat and other office-bearers were present.

Sandip Kaul of Ganpatyar Trust of Kashmir said, “We are celebrating Ganesh festival for the first time in Kashmir with the initiative of Ganesh mandals in Pune and we are very happy. On Ganesh Chaturthi, the idol will be installed with all rituals at the famous Ganpatyar temple, which is located 500 metres from the Lal Chowk. The idol will be immersed after one and a half days. The Ganesh festival will be celebrated in this manner for the first time in Kashmir.”

Shirkant Shete said, “The heaven of India is Kashmir. To ensure that Lord Ganesh blesses his devotees in Kashmir, the idol has been donated. We are giving this idol of Lord Ganesh to ensure that peace and happiness will prevail and Kashmir will become a developed state.”

Anna Thorat said, “This initiative has been taken to ensure that the Ganesh festival should be celebrated in Kashmir like Pune. In Pune, people from all religions come together and celebrate the festival. Hence, we want Ganesh festival to be celebrated in Kashmir.”

Punit Balan, the Trustee of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust and Festive Head said, “The Ganesh festival was started in Pune by Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari and Lokmanya Tilak. Ganeshotsav is also celebrated in other countries. A question arose in our mind that why this festival is not being celebrated in Kashmir? Hence, all revered Ganesh mandals in Pune took the decision to celebrate the Ganesh festival in Kashmir. We hope that through this festival, communal harmony will increase in Kashmir Valley along with peace and prosperity.”
