Pune Metro labourer slips while fixing nut bolt, dies on the spot

Pune: A 23-year old MahaMetro labour working on a site at Koregaon Park has succumbed to death after he slipped down from a pillar. This incident happened when he was trying to fix a nut bolt and he died on the spot after the accident happened.
The labour, Abhinandankumar Nandkishor Ramani was originally from Nagpur and was staying in Pune for work. Site incharge Vinaykumar Singh (42) has been booked for the death of this labourer.
A complaint against him has been lodged at the Koregaon Park police station.
PuneMetro is conducting construction works across the city currently and most of these works are related to pillar construction. The labourer was working on Bund Garden metro station’s pillar number 8.
According to the cops, no safety measures and precautions were put in place by the site incharge and this incident could’ve been avoided.
So far, while a complaint has been lodged, the arrest is yet to be made.
