Pune: Married Woman Raped in Manjari Budruk Threatening to Kill her Parents

Pune: In the Manjari Budruk area of Hadapsar, a person has raped a married woman who came to her parents’ house by threatening to kill her parents. In this regard, a 22-year-old victim woman filed a complaint at Hadapsar police station on Sunday, April 14.

As per the information, the victim, a married woman, came to her parents’ house in August 2023. At that time, the accused, Vaibhav Vishnu Gaikwad, who also lives in the same locality as her parents, intruded into the house, making sure that no one was present in the house except the woman.

Taking advantage of the loneliness of the woman in the house, the accused started molesting the woman, making unwelcome advances at her. When the victim woman attempted to resist him, the accused young man threatened her to kill her parents and sexually assaulted her. The woman further mentioned that the accused repeatedly raped the victim, threatening to kill her parents.

After the woman filed a complaint at the police station in this regard on Sunday, Hadapsar police promptly booked the accused under IPC 376, 376/2/N, and 506 and started further investigation into the case.
