Pune: Illegal Liquor Production Raided Near Karmoli Village: Paud Police Seize Equipment Worth Rs. 4.88 Lakh

Pune: After receiving information regarding the large-scale illegal production of country-made illicit liquor near Karmoli village in Mulshi Taluka, Paud Police immediately raided the location and took action against the respective accused.

There have been a lot of complaints in Paud police regarding the proliferation of country-made illicit liquor within its police station limits. As a result of the large number of cases, Police Inspector Manoj Kumar Yadav formed two teams of police regarding it and asked them to take action on it.

Accordingly, while investigating the matter, the police received information on the address of the liquor den in Karmoli village of Mulshi Taluka, where the illicit liquor has been produced in large numbers.

After that, the police team immediately raided the location and busted their activities. In the action, 16 thousand 850 litres (9 barrels filled) of country-made liquor, equipment for making liquor, German utensils, an electric water motor, and a two-wheeler worth 4 lakh 88 thousand rupees were seized. Accordingly, Paud police have registered a case against two accused, Purushottam Mahindra Birawat and Vir Ram Birawat, and arrested them.

This operation was done by a team of Police Inspector Manoj Kumar Yadav, Assistant Sub Inspector Baba Shinde, Santosh Kumbhar, Police Constable Manoj Kadam, Anita Ravlekar, Police Constable Sachin Salgar, Akshay Yadav, and Reshma Sathe under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Pankaj Deshmukh, Additional Superintendent of Police Ramesh Chopde, and Sub Divisional Police Officer Bhausaheb Dhole.
