Pune IISER: Know how to attend online workshops on science, math designed for students and teachers

Pune: IISER Pune’s Smt. Indrani Balan Science Activity Centre has been actively involved in conducting workshops for school teachers to help them incorporate activity-based teaching and learning in science and math education. In the current pandemic situation, the Centre has continued interacting with teachers by developing digital content and in the form of live sessions on YouTube on every Sunday. These sessions have reached around 10 lakh viewers and the feedback has been overwhelming.

As our present content is mostly delivered in the English language to reach a wider audience, there is a great demand for content in regional language. To fulfil this demand and to extend the reach of this intervention, IISER Pune is collaborating with Maharashtra State Council of Education Research and Training (MSCRET) Pune to conduct online workshops for teachers in Maharashtra. This online workshop series is titled, ‘Fun with Fun with Science and Math Activities!’ and is targeted for teachers and students of Science and Math. The series will be aired on YouTube every Saturday from October to December 12, 2020, between 11am to 12 noon.

Students will enjoy learning science and mathematics through actual practice. Students as well as parents can participate in these workshops.
