Pune: Housekeeping Maid Molested by Owner; Accused Booked at Kondhwa Police Station

Pune: A woman was called for housekeeping service in Kondhwa and was molested by the owner of the house. This startling incident took place on Monday, February 12, at around 3 p.m. in the house of the accused in Kondhwa.

In this regard, a 24-year-old woman living in Kondhwa filed a complaint against the accused, Awant Jaikwani, at Kondhwa police station on Wednesday.

Jaikwani resides in the Hill Mist Harmony residential society in Kondhwa. On Monday, Jaikwani called the plaintiff woman for housekeeping services at his house. While discussing the working terms and conditions, the accused made unwelcome advances at the plaintiff. By touching her inappropriately and getting intimate with her, the accused tried to molest the woman.

On the basis of the woman’s complaint, Kondhwa police booked Jaikwani under 354 sections of the IPC. Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Thorat is conducting further investigation into the case.

In another disgusting incident, a 31-year-old woman living in Kharadi was molested by a man by texting salacious and obscene messages on her mobile phone. In this case, Chandannagar Police has registered a case under IPC 354, 354(d), and 504 against Vilas Sakte, 40, a resident of Keshavnagar, Mundhwa. This incident happened on February 3, at around 3 p.m.

According to the police, the accused and the complainant are known to each other. The accused sent obscene messages to the woman’s WhatsApp number. Also molested by texting Lewd messages and sharing pornographic content with her. Further investigation in this case is being conducted by Women Police Sub-Inspector Ashwini Bhosale.
