Pune: Yerawada Police Launch Intense Investigation in Circulation of Morphed Sexual Video of Woman Case

Pune: A police complaint was lodged against two people at Yerawada police station for circulating a fake sexually morphed video of a woman.

As per the complaint filed by a 22-year-old woman living in Sangamwadi, the woman received two OTPs from unknown mobile numbers on her phone. With the help of that OTP, the accused hacked her phone, gaining complete access to her phone.

After that, the accused used a woman’s personal photos from her phone’s gallery and created a sexually implicit video by editing and morphing the woman’s photo into another pornographic video. After that, the accused blatantly sent those videos to the woman’s husband, with the intention of defaming her. This incident took place between February 2 and February 8, 2024.

The accused also shared those edited sexual photos and videos on other social media platforms, causing further embarrassment to the woman. After that, the woman filed a complaint against two accused at Yerawada police station. Accordingly, police booked mobile holders of 90281XXXXX and 93258XXXXX under IPC 354, 354A, and 500 and the IT Act. Further investigations are being conducted by the Police Inspector, Aashalata Khapare.
