Pune: Horrific Assault on Minor in Bibvewadi; Accused Charged Under POCSO

Pune: The minor daughter of the construction worker was brutally raped by a man. This heinous incident came to light after the girl was found pregnant. This shocking incident took place between August 2023 and February 2024 at a construction site near the cemetery in Bibvewadi and Kondhwa.

In this case, the 40-year-old mother of the victim girl, who lives in Katraj, filed a complaint at the Bibvewadi police station on Saturday. Accordingly, police booked the accused, Ravi Nayak, under IPC 376, 376/2/D, 506, and the POCSO Act and started an investigation into the case.

The accused is currently a resident of Bibwewadi and works with the plaintiff at a construction site. According to the plaintiff, the accused work as construction labour. One day, when the plaintiff left for work, the accused secretly came to the plaintiff’s house and forcefully raped the plaintiff’s minor girl.

After that, once again, he took the girl to one spot, citing her to show her the construction site, and again allegedly raped her in spite of knowing that she was a minor. Shockingly, the accused threatened the girl against telling anyone about this incident. He otherwise threatened to make the videos between them public. This was going on from August 2023 until February 2024.

This shocking incident came to light after a minor girl was found pregnant on Saturday. Upon questioning after this, the girl recounted the harrowing ordeal she encountered, leading to the registration of a complaint against the accused. Sub-Inspector of Police Narendra Shinde of the Bibvewadi police station is conducting further investigation into the case.
