Pune : FIR against 250 VHP members for firing in air, brandishing sword

NPnews24 : About 250 members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) have been booked by Pimpri-Chinchwad police for allegedly brandishing swords and firing from airguns in a rally, which was organised llegedl without permission.

The case has been registered with Nigdi police station for offences under the relevant sections of the Arms Act and Mumbai Police Act.

According to the police, ‘Shobha Yatra’, was organised on Sunday between 5 pm and 10 pm in Yamunanagar locality. Five girls were seen firing from air guns, while other members were carrying sharp weapons like swords, spears. However, police are yet to arrest anyone in the case.
