Pune DCP traffic Tejaswi Satpute transferred as SP Satara

NPnews24 Oonline Pune : IPS officer Tejaswi Satpute, who was heading the traffic branch of Pune city police for the last seven months, was transferred on Sunday.

She has been posted as Superintendent of Police (SP), Satara district. Satpute is 2012 batch IPS officer of the Maharshtra cadre.

DCP Satpute hails from Shegaon in Ahmednagar district. She has degrees in Bio-technology and Law. She was a research scholar but due to her keen interest in social issues she appeared for competitive examination and cleared Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) with 198 rank in 2012.

Prior to her posting as DCP traffic with Pune city police, she earlier worked with Maharashtra State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) as well as served as Additional Superintendent of Police with Pune rural police.
