Youth assaulted over previous enmity in Sutardhara area of Kothrud

Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime | An incident took place in Sutardara area of Kothrud where a gang of criminals attacked a youth with a sickle and grievously injured him. The Kothrud police have filed a case of Attempt to Murder against six persons. (Pune Crime)

The accused have been identified as Lakhan Lohire (21), a resident of Shastrinagar crematorium, Kothrud, Rishikesh Thakur (24), Dinesh Bodke (22), Vijay Lasure (21), all residents of Shivsamrajyanagar, Sutardhara, Kothrud, Rohit Hanumant Ubhe (27), a resident of Sanasnagar, Bhugaon and Saurabh Kumbhar, a resident of Shivshaktinagar, Sutardhara, Kothrud.

Rishikesh Thakur and Rohit Ubhe are criminals on police record and Ubhe has been arrested by the police.

Sandesh Lahu Kadu (20), a resident of Sutardara, Kothrud has filed a complaint at the Kothrud police station.

According to the police, there is an old enmity between the complainant and the accused. The complainant was walking near Atharva School in Sutardhara on Friday evening with his friends. Lakhan Lohire abused Sandesh and assaulted him with a sickle. Rishikesh Thakur assaulted Sandesh by using a sickle. Dinesh, Vijay, Rohit and Saurabh assaulted the complainant with stones.

Lakhan and Hrishikesh brandished sickles in the air and threatened to kill anyone who interfered.
