Pune Crime News | Three arrested for trying to kill youth in Mangalwar Peth

PUNE : Pune Crime News | A youth who was at home for many days due to illness, stepped out to buy a paan but it proved to be very costly for him as he was targeted by a group of youths who assaulted him on his head and stomach with a glass bottle. Vedant Sarsekar (26), a resident of Mangalwar Peth, has lodged a complaint at the Faraskhana police station.

 

 

The police have arrested Hrithik Rajesh Gaikwad (22), Ujaid Shahid Shaikh (21) and Arman Iqbal Shaikh (22), all residents of Mangalwar Peth. An FIR of attempt to murder is registered against Toufiq Bholawale, Pavan Dhile and 2/3 others. The incident took place at a paan kiosk at Kamala Nehru Hospital on Sunday at 10 pm.

 

According to the information, since Vedant Sarsekar was ill, he was home. At 8.30 pm, his acquaintance Tejas Honmane and Azim Sayyad had a quarrel at 15 August Chowk. At 10 pm, the complainant went to a paan kiosk at Kamala Nehru Chowk. At that time, his friends were chatting nearby. Suddenly, Toufiq Bholawale, Pavan Dhile, Hrithik Gaikwad and their accomplices came there carrying iron rods, hockey sticks, sickles and glass bottles. The complainant’s friends ran away after seeing them.

 

 

The gang of youths targeted the complainant. Pavan Dhile assaulted him with a hockey stick and Rafiq Shaikh hit on his stomach with a glass bottle. Others kicked him. Toufiq Bholawale displayed sharp weapons and threatened the locals that they will not be spared if they crossed swords with them. Shopkeepers downed their shutters. The police arrested three people and PI Mangesh Jagtap is probing the case.
