Pune Crime News | Scuffle over Hotel Vaishali ownership; restaurant ransacked, death threats issued to founder’s daughter

Pune : Pune Crime News | There was yet another scuffle early on Thursday morning over the ownership of famous Hotel Vaishali on Fergusson College road. The daughter of its founder Jagannath B Shetty was threatened by her husband, who was accompanied by goons.

 

The Deccan Gymkhana Police booked Irfan Shaikh, Sunil Sandbhor, Vishwajit Jadhav, Chowdhary and seven others for illegal assembly and threats in this connection. Nikita Jagannath Shetty (34), a resident of Modibaug, Shivajinagar, lodged a complaint at the Deccan Gymkhana Police Station.

 

Jagannath Shetty established Hotel Vaishali and made it famous. His daughter Nikita had married Vishwajit Jadhav. A police complaint was recently lodged that Jadhav had threatened Nikita at gunpoint to sign on the ownership documents of the hotel.

 

According to the police, Irfan Shaikh, on Jadhav’s instructions, broke open the shutter lock of the hotel at 6 am on Thursday and illegally entered it. Shaikh’s accomplices and Jadhav, Chowdhary beat up hotel workers and asked them to assemble in a corner.

 

They tore the ownership board of the complainant, removed the QR code and the wires of the CCTV cameras, causing a loss of Rs 5,000. Accused Chowdhary threatened the complainant that he had vacated many such properties. He then threatened to kill the complainant if she did not vacate the property.
