Pune Crime News | Police Chief Retesh Kumaarr acts against criminal Mangesh Mane and his four aides under MCOCA

PUNE : Pune Crime News | Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr has taken action against Mangesh Mane, who had created a reign of terror in Sai Nagar lane number two in Kondhwa area and four of his aides, under MCOCA. This is the 29th action taken against criminal gangs so far by the police chief.
Action under MCOCA has been taken against Mangesh Anil Mane (26), a resident of Bibvewadi, Pawan Ravindra Rathod (23), a resident of KOndhwa Budruk, Sagar Krishna Jadhav (30), a resident of Saswad, Abhijit alias Jabya Suresh Dudhnikar (21), a resident of Gokul Nagar and Suraj Patil. The accused Pavan Rathod and Abhijit alias Jabya Dudhnikar have been arrested and they are in Yerawada Jail. Gang leader Mangesh Mane, Suresh Patil and Sagar Jadhav are absconding.
The accused had assaulted a youth with a sickle and tried to kill him on March 27, 2023 in lane number two of Sai Nagar. An FIR is registered at the Kondhwa police station. The accused Mangesh Mane had formed a gang and had committed crimes like robbery, murder, attempt to murder, causing serious injury.
Sr PI Santosh Sonawane of Kondhwa police station had submitted a proposal through DCP Vikrant Deshmukh to Addl CP Ranjankumar Sharma demanding an action against the Mane gang under MCOCA. The proposal was examined and the police chief has taken action against the Mane gang under MCOCA. The police chief has taken action under MCOCA against 29 organised gangs so far.
CP Retesh Kumaarr, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ranjan Kumar Sharma, DCP Vikrant Deshmukh guided Sr PI Santosh Sonawane, PI Sanjay Mogale, PI Sandeep Bhosale, API Vishwas Bhabad, policeman Jagdish Patil of the surveillance unit, Rajendra Nanavare, Nitin Chavan and Hanmant Rupnavar in taking the action.
