Pune Crime News | Kondhwa police arrest auto driver for stealing temple bell
PUNE : Pune Crime News | The police have arrested an autorickshaw driver for stealing a bell from Bhairavnath temple in Kondhwa. The accused admitted to stealing the bell because he wanted money.
The arrested accused has been identified as Sohail Ilyaz Shaikh (25), a resident of Shivaji Nagar. After the bell was stolen from Bhairavnath temple, an FIR had been registered at the Kondhwa police station. When police officials and policemen were checking the CCTV footage, they saw that a person stealing the bell and taking it away in an autorickshaw. The police found out more information. After they came to know about the auto owner, they questioned him. He told them that he had given the auto to Sohail Ilyaz Shaikh to operate. The police came to know that Sohail was going to come to Lullanagar area. The police laid a trap on Tuesday and arrested him.
CP Retesh Kumaarr, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ranjan Kumar Sharma, ACP SB Salve guided Sr PI Santosh Sonawane, PI Sanjay Mogale, PI Sandeep Bhosale who instructed API Anil Survase, policemen Amol Hirve, Suhas More, Rahul Thorat, Ganesh Chinchkar, Abhijeet Ratnaparkhi, Rahul Rasge and Vikas Margale in taking the action.
