Pune Crime News | Bharati Vidyapeeth police arrest youth absconding in dacoity case
PUNE : Pune Crime News | A youth who was absconding for six months in connection with a dacoity case was arrested by the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station. His accomplices had been arrested earlier. They had entered a shop and abused the owner and the manager and had damaged liquor bottles, glasses and cold drink bottles by throwing stones at them and had forcefully taken away the money kept in the counter. The incident had taken place on May 24, 2023.
The arrested accused has been identified as Ajay Panchal (23), a resident of Ambegaon Budruk. The arrested accused Ajay Panchal and his accomplices Tejas Wadekar, Sohail Asangi, Govind Lokhande, Sonya Kamble and Amol Dhavre had entered a wine shop on May 24, 2023 at Katraj and abused the owner and the manager. Ajay Panchal had threatened the shop owner that he had been released from the jail and he should be paid ‘hafta’ every month and damaged liquor bottles, TV and other goods and had taken away ₹10,000 kept at the counter.
The Bharati Vidyapeeth police had arrested Sohail Modin Asangi, Amol Tanaji Dhavre and Aditya alias Sonya Khandu Kamble. Ajay Panchal was absconding. The police were searching for him. Meanwhile, policemen Abhijeet Jadhav and Vikram Sawant got information about Ajay Panchal. The police laid a trap and arrested him. Ajay Panchal is a criminal on police records and an FIR of causing a serious injury is registered against him at the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station. He was absconding and he has been arrested.
CP Retesh Kumaarr, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Pravinkumar Patil, DCP Smartana Patil, ACP Narayan Shirgaonkar guided Sr PI Vijay Kumbhar, PI Vijay Puranik, API Amol Rasal, API Sachin Dhamne, PSI Dhiraj Gupta, policemen Abhijeet Jadhav, Vikram Sawant, Shailesh Sathe, Chetan Gore, Nilesh Dhamdhere, Mangesh Pawar, Harshal Shinde, Avdhoot Jamdade, Sachin Sarpale, Sachin Gade, Dhanaji Dhotre, Nilesh Khairmode, Abhinay Chowdhary, Nitin Jadhav and Rahul Tambe in taking the action.
