Pune Crime News | Gang of criminals assaults youth for intervening in dispute
PUNE : Pune Crime News | A gang of notorious criminals entered a medical shop and assaulted a youth who had intervened when they were assaulting another youth at Kirkatwadi. The youth has been seriously injured in the incident and is being treated in a private hospital. The incident has been captured on the CCTV and an FIR has been registered at the Haveli police station.
Few notorious criminals were assaulting a youth at Kirkatwadi Phata on Sinhagad Road and a local youth intervened and rescued the youth.
The criminals went away and came later with 10-15 more criminals. The youth was waiting near the counter of a medical shop and the goons kicked him and smashed his head with huge stones.
Local residents gathered but the criminals were abusing everyone and throwing stones at passers-by. There was confusion as the incident was happening on the main road.
The traffic on the road had also stopped. After the criminals went away, the seriously injured youth was admitted to a private hospital.
An FIR has been registered against the criminals and the police have arrested 5-6 criminals. The in-charge of Haveli police station, IPS Anmol Mittal, is probing the case.
Local residents and businessmen are worried as criminals are trying to spread terror in broad daylight and have demanded stern action against criminal gangs.
