Pune Crime Branch News | Accused in molestation case who was absconding for seven years, nabbed by Crime Branch

PUNE: Pune Crime Branch News | Officials of the Pune Police Crime Branch arrested a youth who was absconding for seven years in a molestation case. The accused has been identified as Ajay alias Batlya Santosh Kamble (25), a resident of Bhavani Peth.

 

On December 5, 2016, Jaspreetsingh Gurucharansingh Bala and Ajay Kamble had misbehaved with a woman. According to the complaint lodged by a woman, an FIR of molestation had been registered against them. Kamble was absconding for seven years. A team of Unit 1 of the Crime Branch was patrolling in Kasewadi area. At that time, Police Naik Amol Pawar and Abhinav Ladkat got the information that Kamble, who had evaded the police, had come home.

 

He was arrested by the police. After he was questioned, the police came to know about his misbehaviour with a woman in Yerawada. Kamble was a minor when the incident took place. The action was taken under the guidance of DCP Amol Zende and ACP Sunil Tambe by Sr PI Shabbir Sayyad, API Ashish Kavthekar, Amol Pawar, Abhinav Ladkat and Vitthal Salunkhe.
