Pune: Builder’s son injured after being shot by notorious goon

PUNE: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- A 25-year-old son of a builder sustained injuries after goons from notorious Tipu Pathan gang chased his car and one of them fired rounds on him around 1.30 am on Saturday in Mohammadwadi. The victim halted his car infront of police station to save himself.

The injured has been identified as Nilesh Shekhar Binawat. The incident took place Handewadi road in Tardevasti.

According to police, there was argument between Binawat’s friends and Pathan’s gang members following which Binawat’s friends were beaten up. Later, Binawat’s friends went to Pathan house and pelted stones on his house. Some vehicles parked there were also damaged. After getting information, Hadapsar police station officials reached the spot following which the stone pelters fled.

Angred by the stone pelting, Pathan alongwith his gang members went to Binawat’s bungalow on Handewadi road. They saw Binawat moving out in SUV. They chased in him and fired four rounds at him. However, Binawat did not halt and stopped only outside Hadapsar police station. The cops rushed him to a nearby hospital. His condition is said to be stable.
