Pune: Brother tries to kill sister’s lover; stabs him with a scythe; arrested 

Vishrantwadi : Vishrantwadi Police have arrested four for beating up a minor boy to death with an iron rod. The minor boy had an affair with the accused’s sister. The brother and his friends tried to kill the boy by hitting him with an iron rod and stabbing his head with a scythe. They allegedly beat up the young boy’s mother who tried to save her son.

Raju Gautam Bhise (age 15, resident of Raj Bhairavnagar, Dhanori) is the name of the minor who was seriously injured. The youth’s mother Sunita Bhise (47) has lodged a complaint in this regard. The accused have been identified as Prateek Ovhal (23), Sunil Ovhal (50), Ashish More (22), and Jeevan Pariyar (24, resident of Dhanori).

According to police, the injured Raju Bhise was having an affair with Prateek Ovhal’s sister. This was not acceptable to Prateek and was annoyed with Raju for several days. Last year too, Prateek Ovhal and his friend Ashish More had insulted and beaten up Raju.

In this regard, Senior Police Inspector of Vishrantwadi police station Ajay Chandkhede said that four accused have been arrested who were trying to kill the minor boy by beating him with a scythe. They were produced before a court and have been remanded police custody for four days.
