Pune Accident News | Software engineer returning home after playing badminton with friends, killed in mishap on Katraj-Kondhwa Road
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Accident News | A software engineer, who was riding a two-wheeler and going to his residence after playing badminton with friends, was killed in an accident on Katraj-Kondhwa Road. The mishap took place on Saturday night and the deceased has been identified as Aditya Lahoti (30). Aditya fell on the road after his two-wheeler skidded and a trailer went over him resulting in his death. (Pune Accident News)
Aditya was staying in Akruti Countrywoods society in Tilekar Nagar in Kondhwa Budruk. He was working in a IT company. He is survived by parents and two sisters. Aditya’s death cast a pall of gloom on Lahoti family and his society. Local residents said that since Aditya had holiday on the weekend, he used to regularly play badminton with his friends. He had gone to play badminton on Sunday. While returning home, he was involved in an accident opposite Paramount Society near Gokul Nagar on Katraj-Kondhwa Road.
The Katraj-Kondhwa Road has been in miserable condition since few years. Now, because of rain, the road is full of potholes. Hence, the situation on the road is dangerous and two-wheeler riders are scared while driving on this road.
“Many people have died on this road and unfortunately, several families have been affected. Aditya died at a young age of 30. The administration will indulge in mud slinging but Aditya will not come back. We will have to work together to make this road safer and this will be a tribute to Aditya,” local residents said. Through the platform of ‘Tilekar Nagar Sajag Nagri Manch’, a plan of action will be prepared to conduct a dialogue with the civic administration regarding the road safety, the residents said.
