Police seize stock of intoxicating narcotic pills in Yerawada, youth arrested
PUNE : NpNews24 Online – Pune Yerwada Crime News | The police have seized a stock of intoxicating narcotic pills from Yerawada area. One man has been arrested and an FIR has been registered against him at the Yerawada police station. (Pune Yerwada Crime News)
The arrested accused has been identified as Asif Akbar Shaikh (19), a resident of Yerawada. Policemen Amjad Shaikh and Anil Shinde had got a tip that a person was selling addictive pills in Rajiv Gandhi area. The information was verified. The police laid a trap and arrested Asif Akbar Shaikh. The police seized 22 strips of addictive pills worth ₹2,200 from a bag he was carrying.
DCP Shashikant Borate, ACP Kishor Jadhav, Sr PI Balkrishna Kadam, PI Jaydeep Gaikwad guided a team of officials including PSI Ankush Dombale, policemen Ganpat Thikole, Datta Shinde, Tushar Kharade, Amjad Shaikh, Kiran Ghute, Sagar Jagadale, Kailas Dukre, Pravin Khatmode, Anil Shinde, Suraj Ombase, Prashant Kamble and Ashwin Dethe in carrying out the action.
