Planning To Rejoin Gym From August 5? Here You Need To Know Instruction In Advance

New Delhi: With two days left for Unlock3.0 to open, many of you might be thinking to rejoin gym as the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Monday issued a fresh set of guidelines on preventive measures to contain the spread of coronavirus or COVID-19 in yoga institutes and gymnasiums across the country. It should be noted that the Central government has decided to reopen yoga centres and gyms from August 5, Wednesday.
As per the Centre’s notification, all yoga institutes and gymnasiums in containment zones will remain closed for public use, and the ones outside the containment zones will be permitted to reopen.
Here are COVID-19 guidelines you need to know before hitting the gym or yoga centre:
1) Persons above 65 years of age and children below 10 years are advised not to use gyms in closed spaces.
2) Individuals must maintain a minimum distance of 6 feet.
3)Use of face covers/masks is mandatory at all times in the premises.
4) Wash hands with soap for at least a minute even when hands are not visibly dirty.
5) Self-monitoring of health and reporting any illness at the earliest.
6) Installation and use of Arogya Setu app should be installed on everybody’s mobile phones.
Here are COVID-19 guidelines for gym and yoga institute owners:
1) Plan yoga/gyms floor area based on 4 sq.m per person.
2) Place equipment six feet apart to ensure social distancing.
3) Utilise any outdoor space by relocating equipment outside.
4) Create specific pathways for entering and exiting areas within closed spaces using floor or wall markings.
5) Ensure queue management, inside and outside the premises, with specific markings on the floor with a gap of six feet.
6) Promote card-based or contactless payment.
7) Limit the number of staff and members within the general gym floor.
8) Lockers will remain in use as long as social distancing is maintained.
9) Ensure dustbins and trash cans are covered at all times.
10) Spa, sauna, steam bath and swimming pool shall remain closed.
