Pimpri: Police busts sex racket operating from Pimpri and Bhosari lodge; 7 women rescued

Pimpri: A joint team lead by Assistant Commissioner of Police of Pimpri Division has busted a sex racket that was being run at a lodge in Pimpri and Bhosari. A case has been registered against 15 persons and 7 women have been released.

Police raided Hotel City Plaza, Kalpana Lodge in Pimpri Police Station limits and Kaveri Lodge in Bhosari Police Station limits on the same day and took action against 15 persons.

The accused identified as Chirjit Devashish Sarkar (age 25, resident of City Hotel, Kalewadi), Jai Bhimbahadur Vishwakarma (age 20), Tilak Karna Thapa (age 19), Akash Pradip Bishi (age 22), Pravin Jaysingh Gangawane (age 60), Abdul Hameed (resident of Morwadi), Bablu Prasad, Jayaram Ana Godda, Jayakumar Sriganesh Yadav (age 25, resident of Kalpana Lodge, Pimpri), Ajitkumar Shriutin Saw (age 35), Shant Pujari alias Chhotu, Deepak Kataria (resident. Pimpri), Gopal Limba Patil (age 25), Samadhan Prakash Wagh (age 26), hotel driver Balaanna Shetty (resident of Hotel Kaveri) were arrested.

This action was taken under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Krishna Prakash, Additional Commissioner of Police Ramnath Pokale, Deputy Commissioner of Police of Circle 1 Manchak Ippar, Assistant Commissioner of Police Dr. Sagar Kavade, and led by a team of Senior Inspector of Police Shankar Avtade of Bhosari Police Station, Sub-Inspector of Police Sachin Chavan of Bhosari MIDC Police Station, Bhavari, Constables Lohkare, Mhaskar, Jadhav, and woman constable Punde.
