Mumbai : Andheri Railway Station, a suburban railway station in Mumbai, will be transformed soon. It has been decided to renovate the Andheri railway station. Apart from Andheri station, some other stations in Mumbai will be transformed.

The look of Andheri station will change gradually. The total area for redevelopment is 4.31 acres. So 2.1 acres will be worked in the first phase and then the rest in the second phase. The first phase of redevelopment is estimated to cost Rs 218 crore.

IRSDC MD and Chief Officer SK Lohia said that apart from Andheri station in Mumbai, Dadar, Kalyan, Thakurli, Bandra, CSMT, Thane and Borivali stations will also be redeveloped soon.
