Petrol prices hike after two long months

After the fall-down in petrol prices for two months, now bad news for the commoners as there is a slight increase in petrol prices in 3 out of 5 Metro cities of country.

After the massive hike of petrol prices in the mid October, there was a decrease observed in prices of petrol which was more than 15%. The decrease was seen within two months after the increase. And now, the petrol prices have again hiked up.

According to the figures of Indian Oil Corporation, the prices of petrol were 70.92 rupees per liter in Delhi whereas, the price was 70.20 rupees per liter on Wednesday.

In the Metropolitan cities like Mumbai and Chennai, the prices of petrol were seen to be 75.91 rupees and 72.94 rupees per liter respectively. On Wednesday, the prices increased up to 11 paise and 13 paise respectively.

In Kolkata, the prices of petrol fell down up to 90 paise. On Thursday prices of petrol were 72.38 rupees compared to the prices on Wednesday which were 73.28 rupees per liter.

Whereas, out of 4 metro cities, no change in diesel prices were seen in metro cities.

The prices in cities like Delhi, Dubai and Chennai, the prices of diesel were seen to be 64.66 rupees. 67.66 rupees and 68.26 rupees respectively. The prices of diesel in Kolkata decreased up to one rupees and now is being sold at 66.40 rupees per liter.

After the increase in prices seen in the month of October this year, the common men faced problems dealing with the price hike and criticized government. And, there was a reduction of petrol prices of 15% within two months after the price hike.

After the stability in increase of crude oil prices, the petrol prices have increased. The prices of crude oil were around 60.35 dollar per barrel on Thursday.
