SpiceJet announces six new daily flights from Chennai

·         To launch flights on Chennai-Varanasi, Chennai-Shirdi & Chennai-Bagdogra sectors

·         Introduces new seasonal flights on the Chennai-Port Blair route

GURUGRAM: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- SpiceJet, the country’s favourite carrier, today announced the launch of six new direct flights connecting Chennai with key pilgrim centers like Varanasi and Shirdi besides tourist spots like Port Blair and Bagdogra. All the flights are scheduled to commence from 10th January, 2019 except the one on Chennai-Bagdogra route which will start operations from 11th February 2019.

The daily direct flights introduced by the airline will operate on the Chennai-Varanasi, Chennai-Shirdi and Chennai-Bagdogra routes. To cater to the surge in seasonal demand, the airline has also introduced an additional frequency on the Chennai-Port Blair (2nd frequency) route which will be operational from January 10 to February 10, 2019.

SpiceJet is celebrating the launch by announcing an introductory promotional fare starting at INR 4011 on Chennai-Varanasi, INR 4249 on Varanasi-Chennai, INR 3491 on Chennai-Shirdi, INR 3500 on Shirdi-Chennai, INR 3697 on Chennai-Port Blair, INR 3779 on Port Blair-Chennai, INR 4235 on Chennai-Bagdogra and INR 4244 on Bagdogra-Chennai routes.

The airline will deploy its Boeing 737 – 800 aircraft on all these routes.

Shilpa Bhatia, Chief Sales & Revenue Officer – SpiceJet, said, “We are happy to announce our new flights from Chennai to key religious and tourists destinations like Varanasi, Shirdi, Bagdogra and Port Blair. With these new flights we aim to enhance customer convenience and thereby give a boost to both leisure and business travel prospects from Chennai.”

With the new flights, passengers from Varanasi, Shirdi, Bagdogra and Port Blair can now easily travel to a host of other cities both on SpiceJet’s domestic as well as international network via multiple onward connections from Chennai.
