Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee left an unforgettable mark on both Indian and Global politics. While India was preparing to give him a funeral, various other nations have also joined in the mourning. The tricolor was also flown at half-mast during Vajpayee’s funeral, in all Indian missions abroad.

Canada based Rashmin Shukla pays tribute to Atal Ji by mentioning him as “the universally loved politician.”

Gaurav Karbhajan living in Dubai expressed deep mourn on the death of Atal Ji, “India has lost a great leader. Atal Ji was truly an inspiration for youth. He will always be remembered. May his soul rest in peace”

The United States also grieves with India on the loss of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

U.S. Embassy Press Statement on former PM Vajpayee said, “He will be remembered for his immense contribution in bolstering U.S.-India relations. During his tenure, Prime Minister Vajpayee advocated for a robust partnership with the United States, referring to us as “natural allies.” The U.S. Mission in India extends our deepest condolences to the family of former Prime Minister Vajpayee and the citizens of India.”

Condoling the former prime minister’s death, the US Embassy in New Delhi issued a statement saying:

“The United States grieves with India on the loss of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He will be remembered for his immense contribution in bolstering US-India relations. During his tenure, Prime Minister Vajpayee advocated for a robust partnership with the United States, referring to us as “natural allies.” The US Mission in India extends our deepest condolences to the family of former Prime Minister Vajpayee and the citizens of India.”

Referring to the sad demise of former president Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the Russian ambassador in India said, “India has lost an integral part of politics, Atal Ji was loved and known on the Global platform because of his wide vision and poetic skills. He was the man of knowledge and true friend of our country.”

United Kingdom’s high commissioner to India referred him as “one of India’s greatest leaders”

Would be Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan remembered Vajpayee as “tall personality of the subcontinent. Vajpayee as a foreign minister, worked very well to improve India-Pakistan relationship.”

Japanese ambassador said, “the death of such a great leader is a great loss not only to India but also to Japan and other parts of Asia as well as the entire international community.’

The 93-year-old Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) veteran breathed his last at 5:05 pm on Thursday, at All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) following a prolonged illness.

Vajpayee, who led the National Democratic Alliance government from 1998 to 2004, was the first-ever member of the Bharatiya Janata Party to become India’s Prime Minister.
