Onion trader of Pune cheated of ₹46 lakh; FIR registered against two businessmen from Karnataka

Pune : NpNews24 Online  –   Pune Crime News | Two businessmen from Karnataka cheated an onion trader in Pune of ₹46.33 lakh by telling him that the onions purchased from him would be exported to Sri Lanka and other nations. (Pune Crime News)

 

A 31-year-old businessman from Narhe has lodged a complaint. Accordingly, the Bharati Vidyapeeth police have registered an FIR against Siddappa ALS Bhandari and Gajendra Siddappa, both residents of Arsikere, Hassan district, Karnataka. The incident took place from March 2021 till now.

 

The complainant has a shop in Market Yard and he sells onions and potatoes. He got acquainted with the accused through a business transaction. The accused told the complainant that they had a shop in the market yard in Arsikere and they exported onions and they won his confidence.

 

The accused took onions worth ₹1.65 crore from him from time to time. The accused told him that they were exporting onion to Sri Lanka. They paid him some money from time to time. However, they did not give ₹46.33 lakh and started giving evasive answers. When the complainant went to Arsikere, he came to know that the accused were selling onion in the local market. When the complainant realised that he had been cheated, he lodged a complaint. API Rasal is investigating the case.
