Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Kasba Peth Bypoll Election | CM Eknath Shinde said on Thursday that necessary changes would be made in rules for carrying out redevelopment of old wadas, dilapidated buildings and heritage structures. Shinde met Shailesh Tilak, husband of late MLA Mukta Tilak and his son Kunal against the background of the forthcoming Kasba Peth bypoll. They had a discussion for 20 minutes. Later, while speaking to journalists, Shinde spoke about the agitation of MPSC students, old wadas in Pune and dilapidated buildings. BJP leader Girish Mahajan was also present. Shinde said that Kasba Peth is a stronghold of BJP and the Shiv Sena-BJP candidate would win the election by a huge margin. “When I had met Mukta Tilak when she was sick, she had submitted a memorandum to me regarding redevelopment of old wadas, dilapidated buildings and heritage structures. We have started taking steps to address these issues. The Urban Development Department is looking into these issues and the government will take the necessary decisions. This will enable the redevelopment of old wadas, buildings and heritage structures. We will also make required changes in the laws,” he said.
