Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Kasba Peth Bypoll Election | Only a few hours remain for the end of the campaigning for Kasba Peth bypoll. The campaign has reached its zenith. CM Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis are camping in Kasba Peth along with BJP bigwigs. On Thursday, Fadnavis conducted a road show for Hemant Rasane. Apart from Fadnavis, Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil, state BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Ramdas Athawale, Harshawardhan Patil, Kunal Tilak and many office-bearers and activists of BJP were present.
Fadnavis said, “Several efforts were made to spread misinformation during campaigning for Kasba Peth bypoll. It was said that various communities were upset but this is incorrect. Kasba Peth is a Hindutvavadi area. This is Pune of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. This is BJP’s Kasba Peth. Girish Bapat has been instrumental in nurturing the constituency. The candidate of Congress will not be elected from this area.”

“A person will get an idea about a BJP activist by considering the example of Girish Bapat. He conducted a meeting even when he was sick. Now, after his appeal, we have to vote for Hemant Rasane on February 26 and win the election. The opposition parties tried to create many narratives to target us,” Fadnavis said.
“Rumours are being spread that the Brahmin community is unhappy. Ask the Congress candidate about the Puneshwar Mahadev. The Congress and NCP are trying to polarise the votes in this election. They have also adopted double standards about the agitation of youths appearing for MPSC examinations. They will take some decision and expect us to act on their wrong decisions. The opposition parties are saying that only they take the decisions,” Fadnavis said.
“Sharad Pawar held a meeting on Wednesday. A leader said in the meeting that they should gather all Muslims from the country to defeat Modi and RSS. Hence, a communal statement has been made in the meeting,” he said.
Appealing to voters, he said that the BJP tries to follow the ideals of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, Lahuji Vastad and Mahatma Jyotiba Phule.
