Teacher booked for molesting minor girl student

The 16-year-old girl lodged a complaint at the Viman Nagar Police Station on Saturday. Accordingly, an FIR under section 354 (A) of the IPC and the POCSO Act has been filed against the 55-year-old teacher residing in Wagholi. The incident happened in August 2019 in a school in Chandan Nagar area.

According to the police, the victim girl studies in a school in Chandan Nagar area. The accused teacher was the ‘work experience’ subject teacher of the victim girl. The accused took advantage of the fact that the complainant girl was alone in the classroom. The accused molested the girl and tried to have physical intimacy with her and did an act that would cause her shame. As soon as the victim girl complained about this, the police registered a case against the teacher concerned.
