For the campaign of Ravindra Dhangekar, the candidate of MVA in Kasba Peth Constituency, the gathering was organized at Jairaj Bhawan in Guruwar Peth recently. Former MLCs Mohan Joshi, Ulhas Pawar, MP Vandana Chavan, former mayor Ankush Kakade, Abhay Chhajed, NCP city president Prashant Jagtap, Shiv Sena (UBT) party city chief Sanjay More, senior businessman Walchand Sancheti, Popatlal Oswal, Janakji Vyas, Rajesh Shah, Devichand Bhansali, Mahendra Pitalia, Bholasahji Arora, Nitin Kakade, Rupali Thombare and Bhola Wanjale were present.
Pawar said this by-election in Kasba Peth Assembly Constituency is crucial to give a positive direction to politics in the state. Puneites are wise. They will make the right decision. The business class is the knowledgeable class of the country and knows the pulse of the country’s economy.
But decisions are being taken without thinking about the economy. Traders are bearing the brunt of this. If you look at the map of India, over 60 percent of the states are not under BJP’s control. This means that people’s mindset is not to elect BJP. A few people snatched the power from the hands of Uddhav Thackeray in the state. Otherwise, there was no BJP government here either.
