Noida Orders Landlords Not to Charge Rent for 1 month, Jail if Ignored

Noida : Noida DM has taken a big step, giving a big relief to the tenants living in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The DM of Noida has ordered all the landlords of the city not to collect rent from the tenants for a month. The Noida administration has taken this step in view of the large crowd of people migrating from Noida and surrounding areas. The Noida DM’s order also states that if the landlord does not accept the order, then there can be a fine and 2 years in jail.

Noida DM has given this order after exercising its jurisdiction under the Disaster Management Act 2005 and stated that any laborer or employee of the district by the owner of any building in Gautam Budh Nagar, who is a member of various units, companies of the district , Working in offices, the rent of the residential building will not be demanded in any case for one month. Rent can be recovered only after one month from the date of issue of the order i.e. 28 May.
