Nobel prize is the most prestigious international award in the world. Nobel Prize 2018 in Medicine or Physiology won by James P Allison and Tasuku Honjo jointly. This award is given them for honoring their notable and important research in cancer therapy.

James P Allison is an immunologist from America and 70 years old. He is currently working in Houston, at the University of Texas at MD Anderson Cancer. Tasuku Honjo studied the protein called CTLA-4 and which works as a break in immunity system. And after realizing this brake immune cell will attack tumors.

Tasuku Honjo is a Japanese immunologist and 76 years old. He is a professor at the Kyoto University Institute and working as a professor since last 34 years. He discovered a key protein – Programmed Cell Death Protein 1.

James Allison and Tasuku Honjo have developed such therapy by which the immunity system in body cells able to fight with a cancer tumor. This Nobel prize is given for their great contribution to cancer treatment. Both of them awarded for their discovery of cancer therapy and sparked the revolution in Cancer Treatment as this disease kills millions of people every year. This prize will be decided between two winners, which is worth 1,012,297.05 US Doller.

The announcement has been made already that – This year’s literature prize will not be given. This is happening first time in past 70 years that the- Nobel Prize in literature field is not going to give to anyone.

Now, everyone’s attention is towards the Peace Nobel prize because of the announcement of the cancellation of the Nobel Prize in literature field. This prize will be announced on Friday, at Oslo which is a capital city of Norway. But before that, science-related prizes will be announced.

On the memory of Sir Alfred Nobel, this prize is given to those, who do extraordinary work or research in various fields/category like Physics, Chemistry, Medicines, Peace, and Literature.
