NIPM National Quiz 2018

The final round of the NIPM (National Institute of Personnel Management) National Business Quiz was concluded at the Department of Management Sciences, Savitribai Phule Pune University.

The Winners and Runners up from the zonal chapters fought it out till the end. Two teams each from all the zones: East, West, North, South and Central were qualified for this final. A team representing South zone came out to be the best of

the rest and won this event.

The event began with lighting of lamp ceremony and University song. It was

followed by opening speech by Dr. Capt. Prof. C. M. Chitale, Chair Professor,

Shantanurao Kirloskar Chair. Dr. Chitale elaborated on purpose of conducting a

business quiz and shared the journey of quiz from elimination to final round.

The event was graced by the auspicious presence of Mr. Vishvesh Kulkarni,

National President NIPM, Dr. Captain Prof C. M. Chitale, Vice chairman NIPM Pune

chapter, Mr. R. N. Singh, Executive Director National Council, NIPM, Capt. Kakkar,

Member National Council, NIPM, Dr. Ashok Joshi, Director, Indsearch Pune and

formal Dean Management Faculty, SPPU, Mr. Ajay Kulkarni, Office Manager,

NIPM, Dr. Milind A Marathe, Director, IIMS, Chinchwad and other members from

NIPM Executive Committee.

Chief Guest for the Inauguration function was Dr. Ashok Joshi, Director

INDSEARCH and former Dean, Management faculty SPPU. Dr. Joshi elaborated on the changing trend in business environment and importance of participation in

Business Quiz to the management students. He highlighted that a Quiz

competition helps in developing a personality, analytical ability and inculcates the

thrust for acquiring knowledge.

Quiz master, Gavin Phillips took over the show. The quiz consisted of elimination

round and final round. The students were asked questions related to various

fields of business like HR, Marketing channels and many more. There were many

creative patterns like the identification of logos, tagline identification,

Management Guru, and quotes of famous business personalities.

S. N. Singh, Executive Director of NIPM gave away the prize money of Rs.

20,000 to the Winners of National Business Quiz 2018.Team from NIPM

Tamilnadu chapter were the Winners of National Business Quiz 2018, The winning

team comprised of M Gopinath ,and G Kartikeyan from MBA department of

Annamalai University. They have represented Neyeveli Chapter of NIPM.

Students of Krishtujayanti School of Management M. Saji and Sania Joseph were

the First Runner up team. They took home prize money of Rs. 15,000.

Students of MGM Institute of Management Arunima Pusdekar and Surabhi Aher

were the Second Runner up team. They took home prize money of Rs. 10,000.
