‘News Makers Achievers’ Award to be given to senior editor Raja Mane
MUMBAI : NpNews24 Online – Senior Journalist Raja Mane | ‘The News Makers Achievers’ award which is given by ‘Afternoon Voice’ media group, will be presented to senior editor, writer, media expert and digital media editor and Founder of Journalists Federation of Maharashtra Raja Mane. The award will be presented to him on May 1 at Yashwantrao Chavan auditorium in Mumbai in a special programme. The chief of the media group, Dr Vaidehi Matan, made the announcement. For the last 15 years, ‘Afternoon Voice’ media group presents awards to stalwarts in different areas which salute their achievement. Raja Mane will be presented with the award for his contribution to journalism and his work in digital journalism. Mane started his career as trainee sub-editor in Lokmat Media Group in Aurangabad. In Lokmat, he worked as resident editor, editor, state’s political editor in various editions. He worked as executive editor in Ekmat, Pudhari, Punya Nagari and Surajya and as Group Editor in Tarun Bharat’s Solapur edition.
He has received 50 awards in journalism. He has written six books and his books like ‘Maharashtrache Shilpakar Vasantdada Patil’, ‘Lek Majzhi Ladki, ‘Jyanni Abhal Kavet Ghetala’ have received Sahityaratna Annabhau Sathe Puraskar Award, Yashwantrao Chavan Award, Kavi RN Pawar awards. He led the movement to remove the silt in 28 lakes in Solapur district and contributed a great deal to the Jalyukta Shivar movement. He is actively involved in social work through Barshi-based Matrubhumi Pratishthan and Bhagyakanta.
‘Afternoon Voice’ media group has so far honoured many renowned people including Late Lata Mangeshkar, Late Babasaheb Purandare, Late Baba Amte and Kapil Sharma, Rajdeep Sardesai, Sahil Joshi etc.
